Yun Shan is Dou Zong (斗宗) Dou Ancestor, while Yao Lao before he "died" is Dou Zun (斗尊) Dou Veneratebut because he is in spirit form he is a Dou Zong but a few levels higher than Yun Shan. Yun Shan is at the the lower levels while Yao Lao is closer to the peak of Dou Zong.

Does each realm level or breakthroughs increase their life spans like in Stellar universe and Lord Xue Ying/Snow Eagle Lord?

I have also noticed that in soul LAND their breakthroughs don't seem to increase their life span too. Even those are title doulo or lvl 90 and above, they age like normal humans

The novel actually doesnt say increasing their dou level would extend their lifespan but it would be so, since a level 9 star dou sheng like Xun'Er's father can be over thousands of years old in fact there is one dou sheng that is at least 10,000 years old

And yes in Soul Land their lifespan is just like any mortal, titled doulo can live for about 100 years, it is only when they break into level 100 then their lifespans can be more than 100 to 300 years old, you wont be able to find any source material in Soul Land, it is only in Soul Land 3 and 4 that you will

Against the Sky Supreme is also good, well based on the novel I read, the donghua isnt as good as this one but... I watch donghua for the story
Xue Ying Ling Zhu is good, also from same author for Swallowed Star (Tunshi XingKong)
Mo Dao Zu Shi (The Founder of Diabolism) is good, BUT if you can stand the boy love bits

There are many others but too many to list and some depends on your taste, I wont list the ones I hate, cause I dont want to argue with people who only watches the fight scenes and nothing else :)

I just didnt know the last two were from the same author. No wonder they are good especially Wu Dong Qian Kun. I can't wait for season

I've also watched the season and the 4 special episode of Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan. Great animation and story, the fights and fluid and breathtaking.
I like the main character, he is unique.
I will start the others maybe next month. However I've already watched swallow star 1st season. Damn, i also love everything about it.

Xue Ying Ling Zhu is great too, but season 2 was little bit disappointing, not much happened and the fight were just ok compared to S1.
I hope season 3 will deliver

Da Zhu Zai is going to be made by the same studio as this one, it will be in 3D, but whether it is the next season or a remake I am not sure. It is also the direct sequel of both Wu Dong Qian Kun and Doupo Cangqiong, both main characters will appear as very minor characters in it, well eventually if the studio gets off their bottom and make more donghua episodes, and Wu Dong Qian Kun runs parallel to Doupo Cangqiong, in terms of timeline and of course on a different world

Mo Dao Zu Shi is also made into a live action, surprisingly it is one of the few live actions that is pretty good, can watch on youtube, it is called The Untamed, since the donghua isnt finished whereas the live action is

I hope they do release more episodes of Wu Dong Qian Kun, i'm hungry for it.

Anyone notice how Medusa is obsessed with her own hand? Is it the new body she is so fascinated by?
Also, it's so cute how Yun Yun keeps almost calling him Yao Yan.

The fact that she is one of the most beautiful woman in the world, and kind of narcissistic so when she is talking to Yun Shan she feels he is beneath her, the looking at hand is in a way being condensing to him. (I prefer to look at my fingernails for dirt rather than look at you, kind of thing)

Pity they didnt put in how Xiao Yan flirts with her to distract her from stopping him from using the Lotus flame, she blushes in the novel

Might have been awkward to put flirting in the serious tone of the seen, but that would have been cute too. Of course he would have to deal with Medusa's tsundere response later!

Much much later on Xiao Yan rushes to a group of people when it was attacked by another group, when Medusa finds out it was to save Yun Yun (this is after she became his wife) the look on her face towards Xiao Yan was rather funny, even Little Fairy Doctor looked away and ignored Xiao Yan's subtle plead to help him say something to smooth things over. Of course the interaction between Medusa and Yun Yun was rather chilling. Things become more complicated when they bump into Xun Er.
Nalan Yanran is then reminded wordlessly of Xun'Er's warning that she will regret it

I agree. I love Soul Land, but with some episodes the quality has gone down. The transitions between epic moments and songs is tbh kinda bad. But some really crucial and epic episodes are good.

From Xiao Yan's amazing terrifyingly deadly super 2 flamed bomb, to Queen Medusa finally stepping in to defend & protect her future man/husband from Yunshan!! To the b*tcha$$ Yunleng getting smoked again for like the 5th time but finding out he's unfairly outclassed by Xiao Yan (why TF would he think he could go up against a freaking 2 flamed nuke head on any lmao, what an arrogant idiot?!). Then Yunshan freaking making copies of himself to fight off Queen Medusa & Haibo dong while going after Xiao Yan was freaking insane!! Finally the freaking teacher Yao Lao possessing Xiao Yan to fight Yunshan and defending his disciple/family like he's supposed to!! Yao Lao was pissed, his reentrance (well probably for now) was amazing, dominating when he appeared. His shit talking to Yunshan was so dominating with some sarcasm, showing Yunshan who's boss that even in just the spirit that he still would crush him like the bug he is lol. And that now that he tried to harm his disciple/son, that he'll punish him accordingly. I hope he slaughters that bastard Yunshan slowly humiliating him, breaking him down bit by bit, piece by piece, until he is utterly defeated.

Even if a record of a mortals road to immortality is my personal best, I agree doupo caupo is better.
